Summary/Abstract: Florin Poenariu’s talent, a real example of dedication and diligence, took him in 2020 to the top of those named, by the Ministry of Culture, Living Human Treasure. Descendant of a legendary family, the grandson of the famous Maria Deac Poenariu, Florin Poenariu is the living proof that the imprint left by his predecessors, the inherited talent, even unconsciously, emerges ”when the time comes”.Works of real beauty, perfectly realised, are easy to notice, remember and identify. The Laz icons are, in themselves, marvels. The glaze used as a support and the beautifully carved frames are particularities that add value to the icons painted by Florin Poenariu, different from any other icons.Being the youngest of those called Living Human Treasures, we wish to discover the artistic personality of the young icon painter in order to be part of the ”struggle” and the efforts made, to the desire to overcome oneself, in order to fulfill the inherited grace.
