A Late-night Bible Study

Summary/Abstract: This prose is the first chapter of my novel, which is currently a work in progress. This opening chapter unfolds J.’s subsequent life: from graduating from university, through scholarships abroad, working as a librarian, archival research, to becoming a professor. At the same time, biblical stories come to life in parallel chapters that show Jesus’ humanity from the perspectives of Mary and Nicodemus.
