Summary/Abstract: This article was written in connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the arrival of Polish Redemptorists in Wrocław's Dąbie district and the 75th anniversary of the parish of Our Lady of Consolation in Wrocław. The author's intention was to present the beginnings of the foundation of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer in the capital of Lower Silesia. To ensure accuracy and historical continuity, a chronological approach was adopted. The described time periods were naturally defined by the periods of service of German and Polish Redemptorists. The article consists of five parts. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, it includes a description of the German Redemptorists' stay in Wrocław from the moment of their foundation in 1918 to the outbreak of World War II, and the war period until the arrival of Polish Redemptorists. The description of the ministry of Polish Redemptorists includes the work of Father Marian Pirożyński, the first Polish superior of the Redemptorist religious community in Wrocław, and subsequent parish priests of the parish of Our Lady of Consolation.
