Summary/Abstract: The observations of Blessed Marcelina Darowska presented in this study, concerning both various groups of penitents and threats to the inner life of confessors themselves, may contribute to increasing awareness of the dangers that hinder human spiritual progress, improving the relationship between spiritual guide and penitent, increase the fruits of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, and avoid unnecessary problems and misunderstandings between the faithful and the priests who serve them in the confessional.
