Summary/Abstract: In the article I attempt to present the concept of the second god by Numenius of Apamea. I ask a question about the nature and qualities of the second god and about his relationship with the first god and the material world. I try to show how the thought of the Apamaean could have influenced the development of Christological concepts of the first Christian thinkers, such as Origen. The article is an attempt to analyze those fragments of Numenius that characterize his philosophy.
