Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to analyze the impact of border markets on employment as an effective component in the economic security of the Mehran border region from the perspective of border residents and the gray market in border areas. Reducing the gray market, creating employment, the ability to control the entry and exit of people and goods, creating and expanding social corridors, and increasing the economic power of border residents are among the most important achievements of creating and developing border markets. The KMO test used to analyze data, the Bartlett test used for the structural validity of objects, and the t-test has used to evaluate the research hypothesis. The results indicate that border markets have failed to improve the employment and income situation as one of the dimensions of the economic security of Mehran border residents, but they have reduced the amount of smuggling.
