Summary/Abstract: The Australian society is characterized by significant cultural and ethnic diversity. Alongside the heritage of indigenous peoples, there is also the heritage of immigrants and their descendants. This results in the coexistence of indigenous Australian, European, and Asian traditions. Such diversity determines the country's policies, and through them, the functioning of the state, including the educational system. Education is one of the most important areas for fostering multicultural awareness of future generations. This article explores how "multiculturalism" is promoted through curricula. The article is divided into four parts. In the first section, I will examine the understanding of the term "curriculum" in Poland and Australia; in the second, I will analyze the preschool education frameworks concerning multiculturalism. The third part will provide an overview of selected Australian preschool curricula in multicultural education. The final section will conclude with reflections on "multiculturalism" as it is experienced in daily life, how children are raised with it, and how knowledge about it is acquired throughout education from an early age.
