Uniejów That No Longer Exists: A Contribution to the Study of Urban Development Changes in 19th-Century Uniejów

Summary/Abstract: Uniejów is a town with roots dating back to the medieval period. It was granted city rights in the 13th century. To this day, it has preserved its unique architecture and a clearly defined spatial layout, despite the absence of many significant buildings that had once existed within the town. One of the periods that brought the most substantial changes to Uniejów was the 19th century. Some of these transformations, as well as former buildings, can be traced through old photographs, engravings, and paintings.
