Zdenko Škreb's Proposal for a Croatian Dictionary of Critical Terms

Summary/Abstract: The paper, following Zdenko Škreb's unrealized proposal (dating from the early eighties) for a system of basic critical terms, pleads for the elaboration of a Croatian dictionary of critical terms, a concordance of Croatian critical terminology dating from the first literary studies in Croatia up to the present day. The purpose of such a dictionary would be a diachronic insight into the state of literary and theoretical discussion in Croatia, in a reassessment of the Croatian contribution to international terminology, and the possibility of its use in contemporary literary-theoretical research.
