Summary/Abstract: This article examines the presence of Realism in contemporary Bulgarian literature. Rather than interpreting it as a mere return to tradition, the analysis presents Realism as the realization of that tradition’s aims. In the contemporary Bulgarian literature, Realism asserts its autonomy from media and political realities. Today's literature in its realistic version presents a complex reality, broken down into multiple character worldviews that are difficult to unite and conceptualize.
