Summary/Abstract: The aim of this extended work is to analyze the role of civic education in deepeninglocal participation among secondary and primary school students in Cracow. Theseissues address both theoretical and practical issues, the foundations of civic education, and practical issues aimed at shaping pro­ ‑social attitudes and engaging in local affairsin the context of civic issues, social activities, and community initiatives. The authorrefers to civic lessons as a form of education in connection with the implementationof monitoring and social activities among secondary and primary school students.The research question, which is available with answers, is “Why are young peopleliving and studying in Cracow not interested in participatory activities in the city?”It is also important to note that this research gap is linked to the generally limitedliterature on the subject, which is not professional.
