Summary/Abstract: We are living in a remarkable era where technology is increasingly extending its influence over various domains; including the legal field. In this context; artificial intelligence technology is beginning to provide substantial advantages; contributing to the reduction of workload; increased efficiency; and ensuring consistency in jurisprudence. After a phase marked by deficiencies in the integration of case management for pending files; the Court of Justice of the European Union aims to achieve an equitable transition towards a modern concept of a 'Smart Court.' One example of the areas that could benefit from the implementation of artificial intelligence is the preliminary ruling mechanism; a process essential for the harmonization of the interpretation of European Union law.
