Summary/Abstract: The articsle discusses the architecture of the post-Bernardine Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Łuków, which has not been comprehensively studied. Previous publications focused mainly on reconstructing the church’s history, which was clarified through archival research and a comparison of written sources with the preserved monument. A formal-genetic analysis conducted in the context of both Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and foreign – mainly Italian – architecture led to new conclusions, including identifying churches that may have had the most significant influence on the façade’s design. The analysis of the late Baroque formal solutions used in the main elevation, despite their significant simplification, suggests that the original design was created by Carlo Antonio Bay.
