Summary/Abstract: The Greek Catholic parish in Wałcz played a very important role in the process of maintaining the national and religious identity of the Ukrainian minority displaced in 1947 to the Wałcz district. The parish was the organizer of various events, both religious and cultural. The article describes two special anniversaries. The first in 2009 and the second in 2019. In 2009, the parish celebrated its 50th anniversary and in 2019 its 60th anniversary. Celebrations organized in cooperation with various institutions in Wałcz. All this happened thanks to people, very active, committed, simply enthusiasts of Ukrainian culture working in the local environment, contributing to the integration of people of different cultures. For the community, which was not supposed to exist twenty years after the displacement, because such were the assumptions of the communist authorities of the Polish People's Republic, celebrating such anniversaries had its significance.
