Summary/Abstract: The relevance of the article lies in the examination of intercultural dialogue, which contributed to the formation of a unique synthesis of global innovations and local aesthetics in the context of China’s modernisation. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of Western aesthetic principles on the development of culture, architecture and graphic design in China, focusing on the processes of their adaptation to local traditions. The results of the study show that the integration of Western techniques into Chinese visual arts, such as perspective and chiaroscuro, contributed to the expansion of artists’ expressive capabilities and the creation of new genres. In architecture, Western concepts, in particular, symmetry and the use of modern materials, are actively implemented in urban construction but retain local aesthetic features that demonstrate regional differences. Graphic design has undergone substantial changes due to the integration of Western typography and compositional approaches, which has ensured the creation of visual products that are understandable to both local and international audiences. It is also determined that the influence of Western aesthetic principles was harmoniously combined with traditional cultural standards, contributing to the preservation of Chinese identity. The results of the study emphasise the importance of the synthesis of local and global in the processes of modernisation of China.
