Summary/Abstract: The article examines food safety regulations through both scriptural-theological and conceptual-systemic lenses. The author reflects on Old and New Testament passages and discusses how these narratives reveal the development of divine-human and human-human relationships. It then explores the primary conceptual, systemic, and principle-level dilemmas underlying post-modern food safety regulations. Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, it concludes with recommendations to improve food safety regulations through a more theologically grounded, boldly principled, problem-focused framework.
