Summary/Abstract: The study analyzes the bibliological, philological, and cultural value of the booklet Cuvânt, zis cu prilejul sfințirei solemne a Bisericii celei noă din Monastirea Sinaia (Bucharest, 1846), composed and delivered by the monk Dionisie on the occasion of the consecration of the new church of Sinaia Monastery. Printed “to be given as a gift,” the publication belongs to the category of occasional prints, yet it surpasses its ephemeral character through its documentary and linguistic significance. The analysis highlights its status as a bibliological object integrated into an urban typographical network, as well as its substitute role within a fragmented archival context. From a philological perspective, the text reflects the transitional stage between the Cyrillic writing tradition and the process of modernization of the Romanian literary language, illustrating the coexistence of archaic forms with a lexicon open to the ideas of modernity. Rhetorically, the sermon employs traditional homiletic structures and a coherent metaphorical unity, contributing to the consolidation of a solemn register of cultivated Romanian. The 1846 Cuvânt... thus stands at the intersection of homiletics, print culture, and the formation of the literary language, becoming a relevant document for the history of modern Romanian culture.
