Summary/Abstract: The crisis of the West has been talked about a lot over time. The philosopher Rene Guenon places the West in an identity crisis. The crisis of the West manifests itself in contemporaneity? What are the parallels between the way Rene Guenon sees the Western crisis and the reality of the present? With extraordinary lucidity, the philosopher helps us to better understand the causes that brought us to this point. As for the solutions, a collective effort is needed. It seems that the intentions of the Westerners are heading towards exactly the same targets as in the last century. What does the future look like considering the present? Are the philosopher's rather gloomy predictions coming true? Time will certainly decide whether we are heading in the right direction.
