A GEOMETRIC AL GRID FOR A CULTURAL SIGN

Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on an intermediary space formed subsequently of a coherence between the idea of scale as a mathematic notion and two philosophical notions. It is a geometric grid opening the valence of a cultural Sign formation. This new space or geometric / philosophical grid is seen, as methodological observation and approach meant to entail a result, through the lens of the trans-disciplinary capable to form the space sprung in-between domains, rich in significances and named non-resistant zone, ( B. Nicolesco, 2006 ) a space capable of rendering, in this study, the so-called philosophical concepts as detectors of calibration ( endowed with radius, diameters, surfaces, volumes, cones ) as transmitters of a peculiar cultural comprehension throughout history, whether under a degree of transience or of an immanence one. Intertwined with the mathematical scale ( area of a circle or area of a volume of a sphere ) the two philosophical concepts - the Monads and the Stylistic Matrix ( L.Blaga,1937) - contour the line of a theory, highlighting the space in-between implying certain significances. At the same time using these concepts under a coat of a scale conducive to a meaningful opening, a Sign, pinpointing certain aspects belonging to the human spirit evolving, thus a relation of a measurement logically issued. The first paragraph is the theory. The second deals with the stylistic matrix as area of a volume of a sphere, makes also reference to Monads as area of a circle, and also encompasses the Monads as a cultural etymon of a style ; there is a study of case, too. Finally the third is rather a debate on the idea if an entire epoch if bearing the seal of a style .One can account some didactic applications are liable to be undertaken, whether in terms of the stylistic matrix held as a grid of a transience ,or in terms of the monads taken as a grid of an immanence, equally -the issue contouring a dialectics.
