Summary/Abstract: Time, the fourth dimension in our familiar universe, is a category so ordinary, so common, that we are not aware of the fact that our current science can hardly understand it. Time is the sense of the increase in entropy of our universe, irreversible and local. It is an element associated with space or with the condensed mass of bodies. Time is an essential parameter in our daily existence, it structures activities and provides a fundamental, we can say crucial, reference in our known environment. When a planned activity, such as a meeting, is delayed, the balance is disturbed, provoking a series of emotions and reactions. Failure to comply with an agreement can sometimes have significant consequences. Being late means that the event or action takes place after the anticipated or previously scheduled time. Being late for a meeting or event conveys to others a lack of respect for the importance of the event or for the value of others' time. On the other hand, showing up early for an event can convey either respect, impatience, or urgency.
