Summary/Abstract: The development of reading and literary interpretation skills in primary education is crucial for fostering critical thinking, creativity, and lifelong engagement with literature. This study examines methods and strategies for enhancing students’ abilities to analyse texts, identify themes, and engage with narrative structures. Emphasis is placed on interactive and student-centred approaches that encourage active participation, discussion, and reflection. By integrating didactic techniques with methodological frameworks, educators can create learning experiences that not only improve comprehension but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for literature from an early age. The findings highlight the importance of scaffolding, guided interpretation, and collaborative activities in shaping proficient and reflective young readers.
