Summary/Abstract: The year 2025 was declared by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church as the Commemorative Year of the Centennial of the Romanian Patriarchate and the Memorial Year of Romanian Orthodox spiritual fathers and confessors of the twentieth century. The establishment of the Romanian Patriarchate was a national ecclesial achievement, confirmed by the Ecumenical Patriarchate. This accomplishment was preceded by a series of historical events.
