Summary/Abstract: This study examines the necessity of good deeds in the role of human salvation from a patristic perspective, utilizing the research methods of the Church Fathers. We analyze the writings and teachings of central figures such as Saint Ambrose of Milan, Saint Clement of Rome, Saint Maximus the Confessor, Saint Symeon the New Theologian, and Saint John Chrysostom to understand how their conception of salvation integrates good deeds as an essential element. Additionally, we investigate the synergy between divine grace and human effort, emphasizing the idea that salvation cannot be achieved through faith alone but also requires the active participation of the individual through good deeds. Through the analysis of patristic texts, this study highlights that the Church Fathers consider good deeds not only as manifestations of faith but also as means by which humans cooperate with divine grace in the process of salvation. We also address the theological influence of these conceptions on the development of Christian doctrine and ascetic practices. The research conclusions emphasize that, in the patristic vision, good deeds are indispensable for human salvation, being the concrete expression of living faith and love for God and fellow humans. In this context, good deeds are not just isolated moral acts but vital components of spiritual life and growth in divine grace. These patristic perspectives provide a profound and integrated understanding of salvation, emphasizing the personal and communal responsibility of the Christian. The methodology used is based on comparative analysis and the hermeneutics of patristic texts, allowing for a faithful and nuanced interpretation of the teachings of the Church Fathers regarding the role of good deeds in human salvation.
