Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to analyze Geo Bogza's volumes, Jurnal de sex and Poemul invectivă, highlighting how the unprecedented approach to sexuality in romanian literature does not represent a simple thematic courage, but a true performative gesture. Using the area of performative studies and the theory of language developed by the philosopher J. L. Austin, this paper observes how the publication of the two books has a radical and immediate effect on the reality level, perfectly illustrating the shock mechanism specific to the avant-garde movement.
