Summary/Abstract: This article proposes a comparative reading of Paul Valéry’s reflections on the language of the body and Orhan Pamuk’s narrative museography in The Museum of Innocence. From a phenomenological and hermeneutic perspective, we analyze the body as a site of memory and as a sensory archive. Drawing on the contributions of Merleau-Ponty, Paul Ricoeur, and Roland Barthes, we argue that, in both Valéry and Pamuk, the body exceeds mere materiality to become a structure of meaning in which presence and absence enter into a dialectical relationship.
