Summary/Abstract: The issue of the euphemistic process constitutes a significant subject within contemporary research, garnering increasing attention from both international and domestic scholars as a mechanism for influencing thought. Rooted in archaic considerations—whereby language was believed to possess a formidable power of manifestation within the speaker's immediate reality—there has emerged a heightened scholarly interest in measuring and evaluating the effects exerted by the spoken word upon the life of the practitioner. The present study traces the evolution of the euphemistic process from its incipient stages, characterized by the linguistic taboo of the 'unutterable,' to its current socio-political manifestations, where it continuously develops novel forms and values. By analyzing audiovisual materials featuring excerpts from the comedic performances of George Carlin, this article examines the unique contexts in which the euphemism orchestrates a veritable revolution of thought.
