Summary/Abstract: According to relational ethics, human existence is shaped through interpersonal relationships. Ideally, marriage is a lasting, intimate relationship fostering mutual growth. Pastoral rituals (casualia) play a vital role in family life cycle transitions, especially in deepening relational bonds. In today’s fast-paced, alienating society, the capacity for genuine love is weakened, along with the institution of marriage. The relativization of values contributes to the growing number of Christian marriages in crisis. Young couples need support amid intellectual, emotional, and moral pressures, making the role of the church and pastoral care increasingly important. Premarital counseling serves as a preventive pastoral tool, aiming to explore couples’ expectations and provide structured guidance. This research investigates the awareness and thematic relevance of premarital counseling among young married Christians. It assumes a correlation between this awareness and both the year of marriage and age of spouses. The study uses empirical methods, including self report questionnaires and correlational statistical analysis.
