Summary/Abstract: Contemporary linguistic research continues to devote significant interest to comparative and contrastive approaches, as these offer in‑depth perspectives on how natural languages function, both in terms of their shared features and the elements specific to each linguistic system. Studies of this kind contribute substantially to strengthening theories about language contact. Comparative investigation of idioms facilitates, at the same time, an understanding of the internal structure of languages as well as the overcoming of difficulties related to translation and interlinguistic interference.
