Summary/Abstract: This paper is a plan for a different type of critique that can be developed through a interdisciplinary perspective that not only implies a polyhedric vision, but some appropriated theoretical instruments that change the classic report between the critique and the text. The literary theory meets the theory of visual art and the philosophy of language. The main concept that modifies the critical approach comes from aesthetics and it is named the central vanishing point stated by Erwin Panofsky. A painting in its profound structure and logic has an energetic centre that attracts the observer’s view. The language of image and the unseen structure of poetical language interferes beyond the horizon of acceptance when the observer, and respectively the reader reach the authentic meaning and the vital source of the artistic experience. Further, in order to construct a proper discourse of critique, it should be taken in consideration two principles, the principle of resemblance and the principle of separation which are pointed out by Rudolf Arnheim. The question that intrigues such a hermeneutic approach is how far and where the searching can lead the human intellect? Jean Luc Marion defined the idea of “invisable” that corresponds to an unseen reality that can not be indicated, but only through the game made by the visible and the invisible. The ,,invisable” appears when the image suggests that the invisible is hidden. The artistic language is understood as a mirror, in the same way the visual art shows that the profound level of the exterior world is seen as a mirror that reflects beyond from itself and beyond from its observer.
