Summary/Abstract: Contrastive analysis of two or more orthographic editions, besides its primary goal of highlighting similarities or differences in spelling guidelines, holds a significant importance in researching the process of adapting foreignorigin vocabulary in the recipient language. Through the analysis of examples processed in orthographic editions, one can observe phonetic, morphological, or derivational principles that emerge after the completion of the adaptation process. Foreign vocabulary, depending on the structure of the language from which it was borrowed, can pose a challenge for the authors of orthographic editions. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the differences and similarities in the rules for writing Grecisms and Latinisms in The Orthography of the Serbian Language by Matica Srpska (2017) and The Orthography of the Bosnian Language (2017) by Senahid Halilović.
