Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper is analysis the Homar (English: Lobster) programme as a key element in the modernisation of the Polish Armed Forces, particularly the Rocket and Artillery Forces. The research aims to assess the impact of the implementation of the Homar-A and Homar-K systems on the operational capabilities of the Polish Army, to identify the challenges associated with their implementation, and to analyse the related benefits for the country's defence industry. The research problem is focused on the effectiveness of modern rocket artillery systems in the context of contemporary armed conflicts, and on the consequences which the implementation of those system brings for the organisational structure, logistics and military doctrine. In this paper, the author employed analysis of literature, unclassified military documents and foreign studies on artillery systems. The results of the research indicate that the Homar programme significantly enhances the combat capabilities of the Rocket and Artillery Forces, restoring lost capabilities and introducing new missile technologies that offer increased precision and range. These systems enable long-range gunnery, increasing the deterrence potential and battlefield isolation capability. The main challenges include the need to build infrastructure, train personnel, develop reconnaissance systems and integrate new fire assets into the existing command structures.
