Summary/Abstract: This article is an exploratory study aimed at understanding how local radio stations positively influence the resolution of land conflicts in Burundi. Through a qualitative analysis of data collected from local radio professionals, a thematic analysis of the content of their broadcasts was conducted. After identifying the reasons why listeners to programs addressing land-related issues may not change their behavior or embrace the principle of peaceful resolution of land disputes, the radio professionals acknowledged that local radio stations that cover land conflicts have a significant impact on finding solutions to disputes between communities over land. The success of these programs can only be achieved when these professionals have experience int his area, sufficient resources (both human and financial), and engage all relevant stakeholders.
