Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on bullying as a significant risk phenomenon in the school environment from the perspective of its legal anchoring in the Czech legal system. The primary objective of this study is to systematically summarise the potential legislative tools available to educational institutions and pedagogical personnel for the prevention, identification and management of bullying. The text provides exhaustive details regarding the pertinent provisions of the Education Act, the Criminal Code, the Civil Code and associated legislation, with particular emphasis on the specific competencies and responsibilities of individuals within the school environment. It is also important to note that attention is paid to institutional mechanisms and possibilities for inter-ministerial cooperation. A research study conducted among educational counsellors serves as an illustrative complement to the expert analysis and reflects the level of awareness of educational staff of the legislation in force. The present study seeks to establish a correlation between legal theory and educational practice, and it offers a series of recommendations with the aim of increasing legal awareness with regard to the prevention and management of bullying in the school environment.
