Summary/Abstract: This article aims to explore the possibilities, limitations, and threats that artificial intelligence poses in the field of poetry. The author explores the newly sprouted question regarding AI: is it a useful tool, or annihilating competition? Examining the artificial translation of Boris Vian's poem Un jour (One Day) in four versions, produced by Google's AI software, the author reaches a thoroughly skeptical conclusion regarding the usefulness of AI for poetic creation, ultimately considering it a threat to the very identity of the creator.
