Summary/Abstract: The idea of the common good plays an important role both in the Polish legal system and in the system of administrative law. It is not only a constitutional principle, but also an important guideline for weighing the interests of individuals and the community as a whole. This principle has strong constitutional foundations, as its development is closely linked to the history of constitutional law and the history of administrative law and administrative science. Moreover, the principle of the common good has impressive administrative and legal connections, as it is closely related to concepts and tools of administrative law, such as administrative and legal interests. However, it turns out that, despite the importance of this principle for the entire legal system, it plays a relatively minor role in the case law of administrative courts for certain reasons.
