Summary/Abstract: Quantum mechanics is nowadays unanimous acknowledged by the community of physicists not only as the theory of physics which has accomplished a true revolution of the scientific thought, but also as a true ‘framework theory’, able to determine a complete reconsideration of the view about reality. Finally, it also gives the ground for new ontological models. Having all these in sight, we propose to the reader, throughout these notes, some reflections upon three controversial issues: Bohr’s principle of complementarity as a source of post-modernism in philosophy of science; the cultural meaning of the principle of complementarity; the conception of nature and the research for the ‘real’ by B. d’Espagnat.
