My Hero Your Enemy in the CEE and SEE Region: A Reflection on the Loss of Momentum

Summary/Abstract: The findings of the My Hero Your Enemy conferences, which took place in 2011 and 2015 within the framework of the Visegrád Group, were organized in response to the pressing need to find a common understanding of historical narratives within the Visegrád region. The initiative, launched over a decade ago, aimed to create a space for discussing different perceptions and exploring new ways of finding common ground. This objective was particularly relevant at a time when the urgency to find new means and methods to research historical events and narratives was widely recognized.
