Summary/Abstract: The main aim of this paper is to analyse and interpret various dimensions of the experience of Rome in the works of Serbian poet Petar II Petrović Njegoš and Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. The paper is based on their letters, notes and literary works, as well as on works of their travel companions (L. Nenadović, A. Odyniec). A comparative analysis creates an opportunity to see Njegoš works in the new context.
