Summary/Abstract: Janusz Trzciński’s book is a collection of his scholarly papers which have mostly already been published, although some of those publications may prove to be hard to access for a non-expert reader. After a time when there were attempts to push the Constitution into the shadow and to forget about the direct application thereof, especially by courts, the author reminds readers what a considerable body of work in that regard has been provided by Polish legal scholars and in Polish courts’ jurisprudence. The author’s papers selected for the book are particularly interesting, as well as they are theoretical, which implies their enduring relevance.
