Learning together at home in the new social and educational reality

Summary/Abstract: During their free time, children often learn at home with their parents – completing assignments, preparing for oral exams, quizzes, and tests.. This article attempts to explore the process of collaborative learning at home with primary school children from the parents’ perspective. The importance of the home environment in a child’s education is analyzed, and the characteristic attitudes and needs of school-age students are discussed, as well as new educational opportunities related to the widespread use of modern information technologies are explored. Using a partially categorized in-depth interview, the participants explored, among other things, the level of caregiver engagement, their motivations, reflections on collaborative learning, and feelings about the changing social and educational landscape.
