Summary/Abstract: The paper aims to concisely summarize the main issues connected with gender diversity in management. The research problem is as follows: thanks to the increasing interest in gender diversity and growing awareness of gender balance benefits for the business, companies have started to adopt more and more numerous and effective measures to mitigate the barriers in women's careers. To address it, it is briefly shown why gender diversity has gained so much popularity in recent years, why it is important to ensure gender-balanced management (based on selected regulations, theories and studies), what factors might hinder women's career advancement, what is the risk of stereotyping and how does stereotypical perception of men's and women's competencies relate to actual differences between men and women. The practical part is devoted to the good practices and measures for gender balance implemented by companies using examples from Poland. The research method used was the qualitative analysis of selected companies' documents and Responsible Business Forum's reports. The choice of Poland as the primary focus of analysis is justified by its specific cultural, legal, and economic context, which significantly influences the implementation of gender diversity initiatives in organizations. Focusing on Poland allows for the consideration of local conditions that may differ from those in other EU member states, providing more precise and practical recommendations.
