Summary/Abstract: The essence of metaphor lies in the understanding of one concept through terms that express other notions. In the mechanism of constructing specialized languages, metaphor is one of the most common ways of shaping reality, and metaphorization is a cognitive phenomenon that involves universal epistemological mechanisms at the conceptual level. Metaphor is fundamental in the denomination of specialized objects, as it develops and connects complex or abstract concepts, ensuring better understanding and accessibility of terms. The diachronic perspective and etymologization are approaches that allow for the elucidation of the origin of a metaphorical term, tracing its linguistic and cultural evolution, and interpreting its semantic nuances. The "poetic" nature of metaphorical thinking transforms experiences and concepts into an art of expressing specialized matters and creates spiritual connections in the perception of universal reality. This explains the interdisciplinary nature of metaphorical terms.
