Summary/Abstract: “Imagine a city in a valley under siege, without electricity, food, heating and water, and in it a man who weaves garments from plasticine, mixes dyes, forges armour, moulds beads, teeth and pearls, sharpens spears, horns and eyelashes... Zlatko Sarajlija left behind him two wooden shelves tightly packed with 53 plasticine figurines in a narrow closet of a studio apartment in the attic of a fourstory building. Only a few people knew about them, but no one knew what to do with them... For twenty years or more, they waited in the dark, melting in the summer and freezing in the winter, until someone thought to move them to a museum, to the story of battles won in a lost war.”
