Summary/Abstract: Field research on monuments of the People’s Liberation War (NOB) in the territory of Travnik, carried out by the Regional Museum Travnik in 2017, identified that only three of these were in good condition, and others were completely or partially destroyed and damaged. This paper presents a brief overview of the monuments’ history, describes their destruction and damage during the BiH war in 1992-1995 and after the war, indicates how they are forgotten by the local social community, which led to their further decay, but it also notes some examples of restoration in recent years.
