Summary/Abstract: This study addresses the challenges faced by Albanian-speaking learners in acquiring German medical terminology. Through a survey of 100 doctors, nurses, and medical students, difficulties and strategies for overcoming these challenges are systematically analyzed. Particular focus is placed on the terminology of Latin and Greek origin and its application within the German language context. The study aims to identify key problem areas, determine preferred learning methods, and highlight directions for future research. The results show differences in the level of understanding as well as difficulties in learning and using the terms. Finally, didactic learner autonomy and learning strategies (Bimmel / Rampillon 2000:35) are proposed to improve the acquisition of specialized language.
