Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the phenomenon of intertextuality/quotability, specifically the intertextuality of hadith based on the manuscript of the treatise by Mehmed Handžić titled Bab naḏkur fīh mā naẓẓamah al-šu‘arā' min aḥādiṯ al-nabawiyya (Chapter on Poets Who Composed Poems from Prophetic Hadiths), which is a unique collection of hadiths transformed into verses in Arabic. The text evaluates more than 120 verses, whose authors are predominantly muhaddis scholars, which unequivocally indicates that Handžić himself operated within the tradition of hadith scholarship. The connection between poetry and hadith is manifested through intertextual mechanisms, with many of the authors of these verses—who were indeed muhaddis—reviving hadiths and their meanings through poetic expression.
