Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research was to examine whether there are differences in moral reasoning among elementary school students in relation to their socio-pedagogical characteristics, specifically gender and grade level. The sample included 1,203 elementary school students. Moral reasoning was assessed using the Moral Reasoning Test instrument, based on student’s responses to a single moral dilemma. The results showed no differences in moral reasoning with respect to student’s gender or grade level. The findings highlight the importance of further investigation into student’s moral reasoning abilities in order to inform future educational and pedagogical practices.
