ETHICS OF INTERMUSLIM RELATIONS AND PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATIONS IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT THROUGH THE QUR’AN AND SUNNAH

Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the issue of ethics in inter-Muslim relations from the perspective of the Qur’an and Sunnah, emphasizing the necessity of returning to original Islamic values in times of pervasive divisions and moral crises within the Ummah. Although brotherhood and unity are often highlighted as fundamental values, practice reveals serious shortcomings in their realization. The paper also discusses dilemmas related to the ethical norms of inter-Muslim relations and the possibility of integrating them into the modern educational process, with the aim of strengthening the moral development of children and youth in school and family environments. The goal of this research was to analyze authentic Islamic sources that provide insight into basic ethical norms through value-based pedagogical elements such as sincerity, mercy, forgiveness, trust, sacrifice, and justice, in order to offer guidelines for building better social relations among Muslims, relying on Qur’anic verses and authentic hadiths of Muhammad, peace be upon him. Special focus is placed on the rights of Muslims towards one another, as well as harmful behaviors such as backbiting, envy, suspicion, and insults, which undermine brotherhood and weaken the community. The research is based on textual-analytical, comparative, and descriptive methods. The findings confirm that true faith cannot be separated from daily behavior toward others, and that building brotherly relations is one of the fundamental pillars of Islamic spirituality and social stability.
