Summary/Abstract: This article explores the role of mathematics in the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. The author emphasizes that mathematics is not merely a set of rules and formulas but a tool for understanding and transforming reality. Special focus is given to project-based learning and ecological education as effective, modern strategies for supporting early math education. The article presents examples of good educational practices that integrate mathematical content with environmental activities. This approach helps reduce math anxiety, enhances motivation, and promotes civic and prosocial attitudes from an early age.
