Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes how abandoning the metaphysical dimension of Petar II Petrović Njegoš’s Gorski vijenac (The Mountain Wreath) led to the fragmentation of Pavle Popović’s monography O “Gorskom vijencu” (On “The Mountain Wreath”, 1900, the second, revised edition 1923), lack of consistency of it’s chapters and the absence of conclusion.
